INT. SOPH'S BEDROOM — NIGHT
SOPH (22, screenwriter, pathological night owl) sits in the dark on her twin-size bed. The dim glow of her laptop illuminates her face, which is only barely noticeable underneath the excessive number of throw blankets she has carefully curated. With a determined stare and a posture so concerning it should be examined by a medical professional, she hunches over her computer, her fingers flying over the keyboard as she writes the next page for her weekly screenwriting prompt collection, "Stories by Soph." She smiles as she finishes the last sentence, excited to post this week's story to her website. She opens a new tab, eager to start writing for the next week.

INT. SOPH'S BEDROOM — NIGHT
SOPH (to camera)
Finally! Episode One of Stories by Soph. I know, I know — you guys must have been waiting tirelessly with bated breath for its launch. Don’t fret. I’ve arrived at the premiere, and I promise I’m sticking around.
Here’s a short scene I wrote all in one shot on a whim after I got home from a wedding recently. I might include a version of it in a pilot for a show I’m currently writing called “How to Be Alone.” I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it. If not, I hope you come back anyways.
